I selected this photo because the background makes the model pop out. Compositionally, there is a rule of thirds therefore capturing the audience's eyes, especially since the model's face is at the top leading the audience to the background. Also there is line and shape shown by the railroad track leading the audience's eyes to the blur in the background. To take this photo I had the camera set on a shutter speed of 1/250 and aperture of f/5.6.
Looking at this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is the symmetry due to the model being centered. There is also a focal point due to the settling background making the audience focus on the model. When I edited this photo, I adjusted the contrast to bring more color to her camouflage sweater in the photo. The camera was set to sunny and an ISO of 100. This photo communicates a calm feeling due to the calmness in her face. It also makes me think of the arrival of spring due to the wind blowing in her.
I selected this photo because the audience is immediately drawn to the two models side by side the middle model ahd the distance between them. Compositionally, there is a shallow depth of field because the subject is isolated from its environment. Also there is repetition shown by the 2 models in the background. To take this photo I had the camera set on an aperture of f/5.6, and an ISO of 100
Looking at this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is the underexposure of the background. However, the contrast between black and white makes the flower a focal point. There is also symmetry seen from the flower being placed directly in the middle. When I edited this photo, I adjusted the levels to make it black and white. The camera was set to sunny, ISO 200. This photo communicates delicacy due to how fragile the flower is portrayed.
This photo was taken for the aperture assignment.
What I like about this photo is the clarity of the flower leading to the blur in the background with a glass trail.
My point of view was from above to capture the top of flower allowing full view of the petals and shards of glass. The photo follows the rule of thirds because the main object being the flower is not directly in the middle allowing the viewer to focus on its surrounding as well. Using a shallowing depth of field doesn't allow the viewer to get distracted from the background. The ISO was set to 1000-1600 and the White Balance was fluorescent.

This photo was taken for the aperture assignment. What I like about this photo is the expression of her face communicates a dark but also mysterious look. The models serious and daring personality is being revealed in the portrait. My point of view was directly close and in front of the the model. The photo
follows the rule of thirds because the teacup is not directly in the middle however above just like the model's face. The ISO was set to 800 and the White Balance was auto.
